Rescue Centre Charity Support Schemes

Rescue, Rehab, Rehome, Reassure

Our motto, through and through has been that Loved Pets Love Life, and we stand by these charities doing amazing work providing rescue and care, and helping these dogs find forever homes.

Working with rescue centres, with the shared objective of the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals, we have managed to help hundreds of dogs who were lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned. We strive to develop ongoing education, programmes and partnerships with new rescue dog owners to continue the dogs’ development into their new home and beyond. We are dedicated to limit, wherever possible, dogs being unsuccessfully rehomed, and we have the philosophy, facilities and expertise to make that an absolute reality.

We are dedicated to work tirelessly for this cause.

“A Dog makes a house a home”, if you’re here then perhaps you know that well, but what about a dog who’s never had a stable home? Or one who has a few hurdles to manage before they feel “at home”? What about those owners who adopt a rescue dog with all the best intentions and then feel overwhelmed at where to progress and what to do for the best?

We are here to help.

We are actively supporting Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter, Tendercare Rescue, foreign rescue missions (including Bulgarian Kill Shelter Rescues), and IMDT support training networks to assess dogs, offer guidance and support, and optimise dogs’ health, happiness, and rehoming success.

Sean and Lauren support staff from these organisations and shleters, and play a vital part in the assessment, rehabilitation planning, and training of dogs during their rescue, rehabilitation and into their rehoming.

They help train and mentor the shelter staff, educating them to progress their canine behaviour skills, and enabling them to better manage the dogs, and ensure rehabilitation is optimal. Lauren is pivotal in compiling training programmes and rehabilitation goals for the dogs and empowering others to develop their own skills and understanding.

Sean’s first own dog was Cleo, She was rescued in 2014 from Newcastle Cat & Dog Shelter after a very long stay, over two years. She had a troubled past and was incredibly anxious, but we were determined to give her a fresh start.
At that time Petsercise was unfounded, but it was Cleo that planted it's seed, and Cleo that was pivotal in so much of it's growth.
You can see Cleo in our 'Black Dog' logo; on every Petsercise van and on every team members chest. The logo represents the importance of freedom, growth and love in our dogs. The positive transformation in her health, behaviour and psychological well-being over time was incredible. It's something that we absolutely stand for as a company, and a value we inject into all we do.
